Summary: Good Intro
Rating: 5

This is a good book for the basics in the FE method. It does teach how to use Ansys as well but of course having a tutorial dedicated to the program itself is always a better option.
If an introduction is what you need then this book is for you, if not there are many titles out dedicated to this topic though I really recommend this book to anyone trying to learn on their own.

Summary: Doesn't follow through
Rating: 2

This book should be great. It has great potential but it does not deliver. It tries to be half theory and half practical and does neither very well. The theory is confusing and not presented well or logically. The practical Ansys tutorials are certainly useful if you are trying to learn Ansys (and if you don't have access to any other tutorials then this book is defintely worth getting), however, there is no attempt to explain what the tutorial is trying to achieve or what it is doing. With a little more thought and organisation this could have been a good book. In its current form I would not reccomend it.

Summary: Finite Element Analysis: Theory and Applications with ANSYS
Rating: 4

This is a basis book for Finite Element Analysis. Also buy a book in Amazon is a fantastic guarantee of service.

Summary: Worst Book Ever!!!
Rating: 1

We are at chapter 13 now and I now know that the book do not provide good fundamentals nor details to understand what FEA is all about. Tutorials are useless because they do not explain anything what's going on. You just must figure it out yourself. This is OK for secondary book. But don't expect to understand it without any other help. Choppy steps for the solution in the examples!

Summary: I love this book!
Rating: 5

I can't imagine my learning process of FEA without this book. It's really good and comprenhensive. It is nice to read and it provides clear explanations to difficult topics. I believe this is a must have!
